REBATES:
So Cal Gas
Southern California Gas customers who switch from a storage tank water heater to a tankless water heater may qualify for a rebate.
Tankless Water Heater models are eligible as follows (Until Dec 2024):
$1,200 REBATE AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFYING MODELS WITH A UEF OF 0.96 AND UP
$1,000 REBATE AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFYING MODELS WITH A UEF OF 0.95
$800 REBATE AVAILABLE FOR QUALIFYING MODELS WITH A UEF OF 0.87 - 0.94
Federal Tax Credit up to a maximum of $600
Gas storage water heaters
ENERGY STAR certified Gas Storage water heater models are eligible as follows:
> 0.81 UEF for tanks less than 55 gallons and
> 0.86 UEF for tanks greater than or equal to 55 gallons.
Tankless gas water heaters
ENERGY STAR models with > 0.95 UEF are eligible.
